Chatham Historic Dockyard

A fantastic day with lots of attractions all gathered in one place.  The weather was hot but that did not interfere with our enjoyment.

Highlights included a tour of the submarine HMS Ocelot with an original crew member (a stroke of luck) and making our own rope in The Ropery - but it was all very good!

Winter Lunch

We met at Southgate Community Centre to be entertained by Marco the Magician, who lives in Bury St Edmunds.

The food was good, the drink was good and Marco was very entertaining, especially when chopping off Stephen’s hand with a guillotine!

Woodbridge trip and River Deben Cruise

A very pleasant day trip to Woodbridge to see this unusual small town with its own waterfront.  The afternoon was spent on a River Cruise on the ‘Jahan’ with time to chat to fellow members whilst seeing the sights - just wish we had better weather.
